The off white or white wedding dress will never go away however these days brides are taking a more adventurous stance and more and more are now opting to wear a colored wedding dress on their big day. Previously this was something that would only be considered for the bridesmaids. Colored Wedding Gowns - Two Options. It sounds obvious but a solid colored gown is pretty much the same as a traditional gown with the main difference being that it is another color other than white or off white. There is no real difference other than color as dress designs come with the same accents and embellishments. The gowns that have colors added in segments, whether it is the hems, seems, sleeves or bodice generally do so to tie in with the flower color scheme. Colored wedding dresses do not cause the stir that they would have done 2 decades ago as we see an increase in couples looking to stamp their individuality and personality on their special day. Ofcourse the overriding principle should be that the color (or colors) chosen blend and tie back into the flowers, table arrangements and the bridesmaids outfits. This process of coordinating all the colors will come out in the photographs so you also have to consider this from a photogenic viewpoint. Colored wedding gowns are also widely available in most specialized wedding stores or you can browse through a free online catalog to search for the wedding gown of your dreams. You may not like colored wedding dresses and that's fine however they are here to stay, at least for the time being, and they do give you an extra option to the ones on offer with the more traditional type of wedding arrangement. |
